MONTHLY BENEVOLENCE MISSIONS
|
- Drop off a bag of groceries on someone's doorstep.
- Make arrangements to pay someone's gas, water, telephone, or electric bill. Call the utility company and offer this for a total stranger.
- Donate clothing
- Mow somebody's lawn
- Weed someone's garden
- Plant flowers in someone's garden.
- Rake somebody's leaves in the fall
- Clean somebody's home windows
- Wash somebody's vehicle
- Walk somebody's pets
- Watch and/or feed somebody's pets while they're on vacation
- Water somebody's lawn/houseplants while they're on vacation
- Watch somebody's kids for a night
- Tip a good server/bartender at a restaurant/bar $30 or more
- Take your neighbors to dinner or cook for them
- Bake brownies and deliver them to the neighborhood firestation
- Buy five loafs of bread and give them to five homeless people on the streets
- While in a restaurant, pay for the meals at another table.
- Pay for the food order for the car behind you in the drive-through, fast-food restaurant.
- Pay the parking fee or toll of the car behind you at an event or toll road.
- Pay for the movie of the third person behind you in line at the theater.
- Offer to buy someone's gasoline while they are filling up their car.
- Go to the dry cleaners. Pay for someone's dry cleaning, someone you don't know.
- Go to a nursing home and take a perfect stranger out for lunch or bring an anonymous bouquet of flowers.
- Decorate for Christmas a small, isolated, miserable looking tree or shrub near a area frequented by lots of people.
- Pin a fresh flower to a passer-by’s coat
- Buy several hamburgers at a fast-food restaurant and pass them out to homeless people on the street.
- During a hot day, find some street construction workers repairing the road and hand them some ice-cold sodas or water bottles.
- Join a walk/run/march for protest
- Donate blood
- Donate plasma
- Donate money (> $50)
- Teach somebody something big
- Volunteer one day of community service
- Host your own food drive for the homeless
- Pay for somebody else's small grocery list
